Here are a couple Quotes I felt were in alignment with everything Jenniferjade Enterprises was founded upon. Exactly where are your thoughts today?  Did you know you have a choice in where they are headed?  Meditation gives you the awareness of where your at and then the awareness of when to REDIRECT!  Namaste!

“Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude.”
-Thomas Jefferson

One of the common questions I get asked when teaching a class or speaking to a group is, “How Do I Meditate?  I CAN’T SEEM TO MEDITATE because I have all these thoughts in my head!”  This is a common concern with all meditation and until you have received the facts of meditation, its easy to get discouraged.  Let me begin by stating, “MEDITATION IS NOT A THOUGHT ERASER”.  We are human beings with minds that create thoughts.  Guess what?  Even the Dalai Lama has thoughts at times while meditating.

Meditation is an alternative to the thoughts by providing a single point of focus that creates peace, calm and relaxation.  There are basically 4 things that happen during meditation:

1.   Thoughts – As humans we have approximately 60,000-80,000 thoughts a day.  It would not be practical to sit down for 30 minutes and erase them all! Thoughts are a part of life.

2.   Sleep – Yes, it is not uncommon to fall into sleep during a meditation.

3.   Silence/”The Gap” – This is the ultimate place of peace and connection to Source.

4.   The Point of Focus – Breath, Mantra, Affirmation, etc.

When you meditate you can expect any of the above 4 things to happen, and you are doing the meditation correctly!  When thoughts come in to your mind, simply return to your point of focus.  If you are focused on your breath, let the thought come up, then return to your breath.  If you are practicing a mantra or affirmation, notice the thought and go back to the mantra, etc.

If you are falling asleep regularly during meditation, it probably means you need more sleep.  You can also try practicing meditation during the middle of the day until you become more accustom to meditating.  Rest assured, as you continue to practice meditating you will stay conscious more and more.

If you feel you would like to meditate more regularly and want to have the comfort of an accountability partner, check out our Weekly Guided Tele-Meditations.  You can also listen to a free guided meditation here!

Check out this brief article about a study done at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte which states that,

“…new research now suggests that the mind may be easier to cognitively train than we previously believed. Psychologists studying the effects of a meditation technique known as “mindfulness ” found that meditation-trained participants showed a significant improvement in their critical cognitive skills (and performed significantly higher in cognitive tests than a control group) after only four days of training for only 20 minutes each day.”  Read more here:  http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2010/04/100414184220.htm

Here is what people are saying about the Group:

“I was just on the Weekly Tele-Meditation call. and is priceless! Thank you so much for starting my week, my morning feeling connected!

You elevate what is available out there and tune in to exactly what is needed in that moment…. Love it, can’t wait until next week and making this a regular practice in my life, thank you so much!” ~ Wendi

WELCOME TO THE WEEKLY GUIDED TELE-MEDITATION GROUP!

After years of planning this group, the Universe has made it possible!!!  I am so very excited to be facilitating this group to support your meditation practice.  Meditation is exponentially healing and life changing and we all know how important meditation is, yet it is rarely on the top of our priority list.  Seems crazy.  In some aspects our behaviors toward meditation are similar to the smokers who know how damaging smoking is, yet can’t seem to quit.  This group is designed to become your meditation accountability partner, wellspring for meditation information, and a source for higher vibration transformational healing.

Each week a new guided meditation will be available via phone and recorded.  Members will have access to the live calls and the recordings.  The recordings allow each participant to have complete access to a meditation every day of the week!

CURIOUS? LISTEN TO A FREE CALL HERE!

The meditations are approximately 30 minutes in length and allow for a quick and easy relaxation of the mind by utilizing basic hypnosis relaxation techniques.  I have been using these techniques at drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers for many  years with great success.  Now, they are being implemented into these calls.

Cheers to your meditation success!

“People become really quite remarkable when they start thinking they can do things.”
—  Norman Vincent Peale

Is your subconscious telling you otherwise?  Try hypnosis and find out where your thoughts are in conflict with your actions and feelings.  The subconscious handles all or our inherent beliefs, patterns and habits.  If we have a belief that says, “I cannot do anything right”, or “That will never happen for me” that will override your goals.  In a recent Harvard study they concluded that, “95% of all our decisions are made by the subconscious.”  So, where are you stuck?  Wouldn’t it be nice to become aware of the defeating belief and change it??? Hypnosis and Meditation are great tools for getting past these blocks!

Peace and blessings,

Jennifer
